Job summary

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is recruiting for a Director, FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis for a well-capitalized junior mining company in British Columbia.

Reporting to the CFO, this role will build the FP&A function, create planning tools, and partner with leadership on capital, costs, and priorities. This is an opportunity to build a function from the ground up, work closely with senior leadership, and shape how the organization plans, budgets, and allocates capital.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Experience at a senior FP&A or Director level.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to build planning processes, reporting tools, and financial structures from the ground up.
• Experience with mining/natural resources or capital-intensive industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Lead the annual budgeting cycle with input from corporate, operational, and site teams.
• Develop financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital planning.
• Turn transaction-level data into clear reporting and insights for leadership.
• Partner with operational teams on planning, cost tracking, and capital requirements.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting to track performance vs. plan.
• Support CFO with capital planning and investor reporting.
