Job summary

Rise Air in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, seeks a Director of Flight Operations to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our flight services. You will shape operational strategy, develop future leaders, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

You will lead regulatory compliance, emergency readiness, and safety programs while managing budgets and cross-functional teams, reporting to the VP of Flight Operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in aviation operations with progressive leadership.
• Eligibility to serve as Operations Manager under Transport Canada.
• Strong knowledge of commercial aviation operations and Safety Management Systems.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Lead emergency response and risk management initiatives.
• Develop and support high-performing operational teams.
• Manage budgets, workforce planning, and key initiatives.
• Represent the airline with Transport Canada and stakeholders.
