A leading company specializing in benefits solutions is seeking a Director of Finance in Toronto. This strategic role involves leading financial planning and reporting for the division, while ensuring accuracy in accounting practices. Ideal candidates will have a CPA designation, extensive experience in finance, and strong leadership skills.

Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities across the Benefit Solutions division.
Oversee accounting practices, maintain fiscal records, and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Consolidate and present divisional financial reporting to senior management, enabling informed strategic decisions.
Partner with business leaders to guide budget development, resource planning, and annual business planning.
Identify, propose, and implement systems and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
Lead or support the development of business cases, financial scenarios, and workflow analysis to support initiatives.
Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in all reporting and accounting practices.
Provide strategic insight and financial recommendations to support business growth and operational excellence.
Collaborate with executives and department heads to align finance objectives with broader organizational goals.
Monitor and report on performance against financial, strategic, and operational targets.
CPA designation (active and in good standing) is required.
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within complex or multi-entity environments.
Proven ability to manage full-cycle corporate financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Advanced understanding of financial statements, data analysis, and accounting standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective cross-functional relationships.
Demonstrated strategic thinking with a business-partner mindset.
Self-starter with excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Skilled in process improvement, change management, and systems implementation.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Workday considered an asset).
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Experience supporting integration initiatives is an asset.
