This is a key leadership role within the Finance & Accounting function, reporting directly to the Vice-President, Finance for the division. The Director will be responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and control activities of the division while enabling sound decision-making through strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities across the Benefit Solutions division.

• Oversee accounting practices, maintain fiscal records, and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Consolidate and present divisional financial reporting to senior management, enabling informed strategic decisions.

• Partner with business leaders to guide budget development, resource planning, and annual business planning.

• Identify, propose, and implement systems and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.

• Lead or support the development of business cases, financial scenarios, and workflow analysis to support initiatives.

• Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in all reporting and accounting practices.

• Provide strategic insight and financial recommendations to support business growth and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with executives and department heads to align finance objectives with broader organizational goals.
  Monitor and report on performance against financial, strategic, and operational targets.

All-star candidates will have:

• CPA designation (active and in good standing) is required.

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within complex or multi-entity environments.

• Proven ability to manage full-cycle corporate financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Advanced understanding of financial statements, data analysis, and accounting standards.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective cross-functional relationships.

• Demonstrated strategic thinking with a business-partner mindset.

• Self-starter with excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

• Skilled in process improvement, change management, and systems implementation.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Workday considered an asset).

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

• Experience supporting integration initiatives is an asset.
