PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate) seeks a Director Compliance (Assistant General Counsel) to lead the enterprise compliance and ethics framework.

You will shape governance, controls and programs to embed integrity and ethical decision-making across the organization. This role partners with Legal and Human Resources to align regulatory requirements with business operations, covering Canada, the U.S.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; professional qualifications are assets.
• 10+ years in compliance, legal, risk or related discipline.
• Experience building or maturing enterprise compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. regulatory environments; international exposure an asset.
• Experience leading internal investigations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong AI literacy and understanding of technology-related compliance.
• Excellent judgment and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise compliance strategy and governance framework.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive program improvements.
• Lead enterprise compliance risk assessments and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Legal and HR to embed compliance into operations.
• Support internal investigations and cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist with U.S. government contracting compliance.
