Job summary

OEG Sports & Entertainment in Edmonton leads the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation’s fundraising efforts to support the Every Kid Deserves a Shot initiative. This role focuses on building a comprehensive strategy, donor prospecting, and donor stewardship to grow community support across Oil Country.

The Director of Development collaborates with OEG teams, secures grants, and expands engagement with fans, partners, and alumni while delivering measurable fundraising outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years relevant fundraising or revenue-generating experience.
• 5 years of senior leadership experience.
• Experience in sports management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy across Oil Country and beyond.
• Develop fundraising campaigns and manage donor prospecting, recognition, and stewardship programs.
• Secure grant funding from government, foundations, or other sources.
• Collaborate with teams across OEG to identify CSR opportunities and engage fans and ticket holders.
• Grow the donor and customer database and maintain donor relationships across portfolios.
• Build engaging ways for stakeholders to stay connected and support the foundation.
