Job summary

APOTEX, a Canadian-based global health company headquartered in Toronto, is seeking a Director, Corporate Accounts to lead and grow the organization’s largest accounts. You will develop account strategies, serve as the primary sales contact across multiple product lines, and foster long-term strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales performance of assigned accounts; meet/exceed annual targets.
  • Develop and execute annual/quarterly account plans and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with designated accounts; understand priorities.
  • Monitor sales performance and client satisfaction; take corrective action.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, BD, and others to deliver client experiences.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasts and inventory targets at multiple levels.
  • Represent Apotex at trade shows, conferences, and client events.
  • Report actual vs forecasted performance to sales management.
  • Create and manage OPEX budgets for the territory.
  • Lead strategic growth initiatives as required.
  • Maintain industry knowledge on trends and issues in pharma.
  • Report notified adverse drug reactions to Global Pharmacovigilance per SOPs.
  • Work safely and collaboratively with team to achieve outcomes.

The Director, Corporate Accounts leads and manages the sales performance of our largest accounts. This role develops and implements account strategies that deliver optimal customer solutions and profitable outcomes for Apotex. Serving as the primary sales contact for key customers, it represents Apotex's products and services (across multiple lines of business) while fostering strong, collaborative relationships. Through a comprehensive understanding of Apotex's portfolio and capabilities, the role drives sales results and identifies opportunities to grow the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders across customer organizations and internal teams, it establishes and strengthens long-term strategic partnerships that create mutual value.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the sales performance of assigned accounts, ensuring annual sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly account plans, as well as go-to-market strategies, to deliver optimal solutions for the client and profitable outcomes for the Company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with designated accounts, understanding their business issues, expectations, and priorities, and providing them with Apotex’s offerings and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the sales performance and satisfaction of clients and accounts, taking immediate action where required to maintain or improve performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, maximizing sales value while also ensuring compliance with Apotex policies and standards.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the industry for territory growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, such as Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Development, and others to deliver an exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work with Commercial Operations to ensure sales forecast accuracy and inventory level targets are met and monitored at the account/customer/product level.
  • Represent Apotex at all required trade shows, conferences, and customer events related to the assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Report on actual sales and forecasted performance to sales management
  • Create and manage OPEX budgets for the assigned territory.
  • Participate and lead internal strategic growth initiatives as required.
  • Maintain superior industry knowledge on the latest trends, critical issues, and innovations, impacting the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Report any notified suspected Adverse Drug Reactions to Global Pharmacovigilance in accordance with Corporate SOPs.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

  • Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
