Director, Corporate Accounting
Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the RBI Global Accounting team in a controllership role overseeing various brands and regions. The role supports regional controllers in monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensuring alignment with RBI’s accounting policies. The ideal candidate will have relevant public accounting experience, including reporting, consolidation, acquisition accounting, and controls, ideally developed with public companies.

This role is suitable for a hands-on team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including top management, requiring excellent presentation and communication skills. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and have meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and cash flows.
  2. Collaborate with Brand, Corporate, and SEC reporting teams to ensure proper consolidation.
  3. Implement RBI’s accounting and controls policies at acquired entities, including conversions from IFRS to US GAAP.
  4. Act as the main contact with internal and external auditors for acquired entities.
  5. Support internal and external audits and SOX compliance.
  6. Coordinate with regional and brand controllers on acquisition accounting, valuation methodologies, and system integrations.
  7. Assist with special projects as needed.
  8. Build strong partnerships with regional finance and business teams, providing guidance on accounting matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience; CPA preferred, with public accounting background.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising across departments and with external auditors.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SAP and reporting systems like OneStream is helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
