Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Manager of Accounting to drive planning, reporting, and full-cycle accounting across a diversified portfolio, including manufacturing, real estate, and technology. The role leads budgeting, variance analysis, and treasury management within a high-growth environment.

You will oversee IFRS/ASPE compliance, intercompany work, and external audit support while collaborating with a talented finance team.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE.
• Experience with financial modelling and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial modelling.
• Perform variance analysis, KPI reporting, and trend analysis per IFRS/ASPE.
• Oversee journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Manage treasury activities, working capital, bank covenants, and CapEx investments.
• Support audits, internal controls development, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with HST filings and corporate tax requirements.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial modeling to support decision-making and business growth
• Financial Reporting: Conduct variance analysis, KPI reporting, and trend analysis while ensuring compliance with IFRS and ASPE standards
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and consolidations
• Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Monitor working capital, manage bank positions and covenants, and oversee CapEx investments
• Audit & Compliance: Support external audits, design and test internal controls, and mitigate financial risks
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare HST filings and assist with corporate tax requirements

What We Need From You:

• 4-7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ASPE, and financial modelling
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Power BI, and advanced Excel
• Experience in private equity, real estate, or investment management is an asset
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
