LumiQ is seeking a Director of Business Systems responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s information technology systems.

The organization relies on information systems to:

1. Create workflow efficiency;
2. Retain critical information;
3. Gain insights for informed decision-making to enable superior management of the organization.

Reporting to the CFO, the Director will develop an IS department as the company expands in North America and internationally.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

• Advanced knowledge of building and scaling data infrastructure, including pipeline design, integrations, and modeling (using tools like dbt, Snowflake, and Looker, or other prominent tools).
• Pragmatic decision-making skills for technology selection.
• Experience managing data governance, quality, and compliance standards.
• 10-15 years leading analytics or information systems in SaaS or digital environments.
• Proven leadership in scaling teams, developing talent, and driving performance.
• Strong stakeholder influence, business judgment, and concise communication skills.
• Balanced technical expertise and business acumen; hands-on approach with focus on outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

• Implementing and managing the company’s information systems as it scales.
• Collaborating with department managers to facilitate process automation and improve insights.
• Creating and leading an IS department currently distributed across various teams.
• Assessing existing systems, making investment decisions, and upgrading or discarding technologies.
• Owning and evolving LumiQ’s application stack, data strategy, and reporting infrastructure.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations.
• Leading data quality, governance, and security efforts.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE :

• Within 6-12 months, establishing a single source of truth and enabling managers to create dashboards, transforming datasets into actionable models for various teams.
• Delivering consistent, timely, and accurate reports, reducing manual work, and increasing insight speed.

If your experience aligns closely, we’d love to meet you! This is a flexible hybrid role based out of Toronto, Canada, with 1-2 office visits per week.
