Job summary

Canada Life is looking for a Director, Business Analysis to lead day-to-day execution and maturity of a modern BA practice across a portfolio of initiatives. The role reports to the VP, BPMO and partners with business, technology, finance and risk to deliver outcomes and adoption.

You will build a high-performing team, implement enterprise BA standards, and drive governance, traceability, and value realization across initiatives — guiding requirements, testing, and Day 2 operations.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years in Business Analysis with leadership experience.
• Experience maturing BA practices in a matrixed organization.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder skills.
• Excellent communication to translate business needs into requirements.
• Experience in strategy, portfolio, and delivery in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of BAs with clear quality expectations.
• Advance enterprise BA frameworks, standards, and templates.
• Foster a community of practice through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee BA activities across programs including elicitation and design.
• Oversee testing activities, test planning, and defect management.
• Define BA scope, approach, and resourcing for initiatives; ensure traceability.
