Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Director Anti-Fraud, North America to lead and challenge the fraud risk management strategy across US and Canada. The role supports the Global Head of Anti-Fraud and collaborates with technology, compliance, legal, and audit teams to strengthen monitoring programs.

The position requires extensive experience in financial crime, strategic implementation, and strong communication skills to drive cross-functional initiatives in a global insurer context.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in financial crime or fraud risk management.
  • Experience with AML/ATF, compliance or risk management.
  • Ability to design and implement large-scale risk systems and processes.
  • Experience in a large, global financial institution is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fraud risk management strategy across US and Canada.
  • Lead fraud detection and prevention technology efforts.
  • Embed fraud risk framework across business segments and support compliance.
  • Drive standardization, automation and crisis management across markets.
  • Engage regulators and industry forums to influence the risk landscape.
  • Identify and mitigate fraud risks across all units.
