Job summary

Desjardins Group in Lévis, QC is seeking a director to lead large-scale sales and operations and steer a major support sub-function that delivers specialized services to the group.

You will administer the unit’s service offer, craft and execute the business plan, and oversee activities supporting the organization’s strategic directions while building networks, developing talent, and driving performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
• French required for positions in Quebec.
• Excellent English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help define strategic priorities with the vice-president.
• Develop and deliver the administrative department’s business plan and ensure action plans for reporting administrative units are carried out in a performance management context.
• Apply management and communication practices encouraging change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, mobilization and diversity.
• Define and ensure the implementation of activities related to the unit’s services and ensure entrusted projects are carried through to maximize business results and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Support the administrative unit’s business plan by successfully managing individual and team performance.
• Continuously improve the management of processes under your responsibility.
• Promote Desjardins Group’s cooperative values.
• Represent the organization and conduct business intelligence.

Job description

As dorector, your role involves using your in-depth knowledge of the sector to manage all large-scale sales and operations activities or a major support sub-function offering specialized services to all of Desjardins Group. You are responsible for administrating your unit’s service offer, developing and implementing its business plan, and overseeing activities supporting the strategic orientations. Having a strategic mindset is an essential competency for this position. With an ability to develop talent, drive results, and build networks you are able to effectively manage people and performance, produce reports and ensure member/client satisfaction. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Develop and deliver the administrative department’s business plan based on strategic issues and targeted results, and ensure that action plans for reporting administrative units are carried out in a performance management context.
