A leading company in real estate is seeking a Business Development Manager in Montreal to drive growth and maintain client relationships. The role involves strategic direction, oversight of financial performance, and leading a team to meet operational goals. Candidates should have significant experience in business development and leadership skills.
What You'll Do :
Develop and implement a Business Development strategy for business growth and maintain existing business relationships.
Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders. These include business leaders, investment partners, and potential customers.
Partner with clients to gain an understanding of their business goals and objectives. Work together to identify new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
Apply a robust knowledge of CBRE's multiple groups, various business and sectors, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
Participate in integrated real estate services sales opportunities
Provide strategic direction toward the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
Set and measure operational and financial goals for client accounts.
Provide oversight on profit and loss for accounts including budget and forecast development, monthly business reviews, and achievement of sales targets.
Review financial reports and develop cases for budgets and reserve investments while prioritizing key initiatives. Provide recommendations to business leaders that impact a line of business.
Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Oversee the recruiting and new hire process
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Direct all phases of the process for small to medium-sized clients including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts are accurate, timely, and compliant.
Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.
Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
It is understood that the role can come with some level of day-to-day Senior / Executive level leadership role on major projects.
