Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Director of Unit, Internal Claims - Auto, to lead a growing claims team and drive performance in processing complex auto claims. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in office.

You will guide claims specialists, monitor quality and cost efficiency, and work to meet regional objectives while ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to standards. Strong licensing and prior leadership in insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed claims expert with at least 3 years of relevant experience in claims processing.
• Or management experience in the insurance field and willingness to obtain the license promptly.
• Strong proficiency with information systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the claims experts to meet engagement, cost, efficiency and service goals.
• Help achieve corporate and regional objectives by measuring team performance and ensuring claim quality and productivity.
• Organize and manage resources within budget to foster teamwork and technical training.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Make decisions on file handling and payments in line with company standards.
• Promote brand and business principles with partners.

Salary range (but not limited to): 87,200 - 106,600

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 12%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Ce que vous accomplirez chez nous :

• Diriger et coordonner les activités des experts en sinistres, reliées au traitement des sinistres, afin d'atteindre les objectifs en matière d'engagement, de gestion des surcoûts, d’efficacité et de service à la clientèle.
• Contribuer à la réalisation des objectifs corporatifs et régionaux en mesurant la performance de son équipe, en assurant la qualité du traitement des sinistres, le niveau de respect des normes, des procédures et la productivité.
• Gérer les activités de son équipe en organisant, planifiant et contrôlant l'utilisation optimale des ressources humaines, financières et matérielles selon le budget, tout en favorisant le travail d'équipe et en orientant leur formation sur le plan technique.
• Participer à l'amélioration des processus opérationnels.
• Prendre les décisions pour son équipe concernant le traitement des dossiers sinistres et le paiement des indemnités en conformité avec les normes de l'entreprise.
• Promouvoir l'image de marque et les principes d'affaires auprès des partenaires.

Ce que vous mettrez à profit :

• Détenir un permis d’expert en sinistre et posséder au moins trois (3) années d’expérience pertinente en traitement de dossiers de sinistres;
• Ou, pour les personnes ne détenant pas de permis et n’ayant pas d’expérience à titre d’expert en sinistre, posséder une expérience pertinente en gestion dans le domaine de l’assurance et être disposées à obtenir leur permis dans les meilleurs délais suivant leur entrée en fonction;
• Démontrer une excellente maîtrise des systèmes informatiques;
• Faire preuve d’un sens marqué des responsabilités;
• Se soucier des gens et de leurs besoins;
• Contribuer à créer un milieu fondé sur l’ouverture et l’honnêteté;
• Agir avec intégrité;
• Placer le client au cœur de ses priorités;
• Viser l’excellence.
