Directeur adjoint, Entretien des infrastructures

Relevant to the Directeur, Entretien et Fiabilité, the Directeur adjoint, Entretien des infrastructures is responsible for managing teams comprising various technical disciplines dedicated to the maintenance and reliability of Montreal Airport's infrastructure. They also oversee the lifecycle management of all infrastructure under their responsibility.

RÔLE ET RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Participate in defining strategic directions, priorities, and objectives for the department, and set corresponding goals for their teams;
  • Manage human resources responsibly, ensuring health and safety standards are met and fostering skill development;
  • Proactively develop a health and well-being culture, maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures;
  • Support supervisors in operational activities and personnel management to ensure a positive work climate and team cohesion aligned with company vision;
  • Ensure the reliability of installations and equipment, continuous improvement, and integration of changes into maintenance programs, involving their teams;
  • Collaborate with colleagues managing other infrastructures to ensure consistency and share best practices;
  • Exert strong leadership focused on continuous improvement by monitoring performance indicators;
  • Represent infrastructure maintenance to ensure quality service delivery to internal and external clients;
  • Support project execution within the maintenance or infrastructure improvement teams, engaging when needed;
  • Perform other relevant tasks as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical and/or mechanical) or a related field;
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least five (5) in managing a multidisciplinary maintenance department in a unionized environment;
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and performance indicators;
  • Experience in a management role with a primary focus on customer service;
  • Advanced knowledge of building technologies, complex building operations, and energy efficiency;
  • Deep understanding of preventive maintenance organization and planning;
  • Innovative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement practices;
  • Leadership style based on coaching, mentoring, and collaboration to build relationships at all levels;
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization, adaptability, resilience to stress;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English;
  • Mobilizing leadership focused on results, efficiency, and ongoing improvement;
  • Ability to facilitate change and identify improvement opportunities;
  • Capacity to translate organizational challenges into team objectives;
  • Possession of a regulated area pass and a vehicle operation license within six months of appointment.
