Position Overview:

Reporting to the DiPERK Sales Manager, this role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of Perkins' new engine and aftermarket parts sales. The successful candidate will share ownership of sales strategy and execution alongside the Sales Manager and Program Manager, focusing on delivering results across the Perkins Aftermarket and New Engine segments. This position involves expanding our dealer territory by supporting existing second-level dealer and OEM networks and developing new relationships with second-level dealers, OEMs, and end users.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
  1. Key account management
  2. Customer relationship management and reporting
  3. Represent Finning in customer meetings, presentations, seminars, etc., to support strategic initiatives
  4. Participate in industry associations
  5. Identify, research, prepare, and execute business development opportunities
  6. Establish and cultivate external networks for potential business opportunities, including customers, competitors, partners, suppliers, OEMs, government contacts, and trade associations
  7. Assess potential development opportunities such as acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, alliances, and equity positions
  8. Prepare business cases for development opportunities, including projected value, costs, SWOT analysis, and market overview
  9. Manage revenue and costs effectively
  10. Identify and develop growth opportunities that add value to Finning
  11. Contribute to creating an effective work environment aligned with business goals
  12. Represent the company professionally and ethically
Specific Skills & Experience
  1. Ability to build teams and collaborate across organizational levels
  2. Strong time management, prioritization, project management, and problem-solving skills
  3. Minimum of 5 years of sales/marketing experience
  4. Understanding of financial management and regulatory requirements
  5. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  6. Knowledge of equipment sales and product support opportunities
  7. Ability to understand technical aspects of products and applications
  8. Experience in strategic planning, marketing principles, and practices
  9. Strong leadership, motivation, presentation, and facilitation skills
  10. Technical knowledge of Perkins product line is an asset
