Position Overview: Reporting to the DiPERK Sales Manager, this role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of Perkins' new engine and aftermarket parts sales. The successful candidate will share ownership of sales strategy and execution alongside the Sales Manager and Program Manager, focusing on delivering results across the Perkins Aftermarket and New Engine segments. This position is key in expanding our dealer territory by nurturing existing second-level dealer and OEM networks and developing new relationships with dealers, OEMs, and end users.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions

  1. Key account management
  2. Customer relationship management and reporting
  3. Representing Finning in customer meetings, presentations, seminars, etc., to support strategic initiatives
  4. Participation in industry associations
  5. Identifying and executing business development opportunities
  6. Establishing and cultivating networks for business development, including contacts with customers, competitors, partners, OEMs, and trade associations
  7. Assessing potential development opportunities such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships
  8. Preparing business cases for development opportunities, including market analysis, SWOT, projected value, and costs
  9. Managing revenue and costs
  10. Recognizing and developing growth opportunities that add value to Finning
  11. Contributing to an effective work environment aligned with business goals
  12. Representing the company professionally and ethically

Specific Skills & Experience

  1. Team builder capable of working across organizational levels
  2. Strong time management, prioritization, project management, and problem-solving skills
  3. Minimum of 5 years in sales/marketing
  4. Understanding of financial, legal, and regulatory requirements
  5. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  6. Knowledge of equipment sales and product support opportunities
  7. Ability to understand technical aspects of products and applications
  8. Experience in strategic planning and marketing principles
  9. Strong leadership, motivation, presentation, and facilitation skills
  10. Technical knowledge of Perkins products is an asset
