Job summary

Centre Vorlage is looking for a friendly, energetic front-of-house team member to greet and seat guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments. You will keep the front-of-house clean, stocked, and ready for service while supporting opening/closing routines.

Fluency in French and English and a team-focused mindset are essential for a busy environment. Experience in a restaurant or bar is an asset; training is provided.

Job description

We are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The HUB is open every day the mountain is operating, as well as Thursday evenings from 5 PM for Wings Night.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Experience:
  • Greet and seat all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Server/Bartender: take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments, following the steps of service to ensure maximum sales and a wonderful guest experience.
  • Server Assistant: bring guests a menu and cutlery, let them know their server will be with them shortly, and follow the server assistant duties sheet.
  • Keep the front of house clean, presentable and properly stocked at all times.
• Day-to-Day Front of House Operations:
  • Participate in opening, closing and cleaning routines in the front of house.
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time so you are ready to serve on time.
  • Maintain stock par levels throughout the day.
  • Report any equipment malfunction or operational issues immediately.
  • Ensure a quality guest experience for all who enter the Hub.
• Personal Hygiene:
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
  • Wear a clean, stain-free uniform at the start of every shift, with closed-toe, non-slip shoes for safety.
• Inventory & Stock Support:
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries (food, beverages, consumables).
  • Rotate products properly (FIFO) and check freshness and expiry dates.
  • Inform the manager when stock is low or products are approaching expiry.
• Teamwork & Service Support:
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Help co-workers whenever needed: running a smooth front of house is a team effort.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Restaurant or bar experience an asset; training provided.
• Action Service (responsible alcohol service) training an asset for servers/bartenders.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming attitude.
• Good communication in French and English.
• Team player, able to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Work Conditions

• Full-time position, seasonal or year-round.
• Work on weekends, evenings and during special events.
• Clean uniform and closed-toe, non-slip shoes required.
• Reports to the Dining Room Manager.
