The Canadian Museum of Nature is seeking a Digital Readiness and Information Management Program Officer to strengthen digital foundations and information governance. You will work with Microsoft 365 tools, SharePoint, Teams, and related systems, supporting the AI pilot and coordinating user needs with technical teams.
English and French essential, bilingual non-imperative, and experience in information management or digital transformation within a public sector or museum environment is valued.

Working under the direction of the Director, Information Management, Information Technology and Project Management, and in collaboration with the other members of the Information Management/Information Technology team and staff across the Museum (i.e. Experience and Engagement, Research and Collections and staff working in corporate services), the Digital Readiness and Information Management Program Officer supports the Museum’s efforts to strengthen its digital foundations, improve information management practices, and prepare the organization for responsible use of artificial intelligence tools.
They help assess current Information Management and digital workflow needs across the Museum, with particular attention to how staff create, store, share, find, govern, and reuse information in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related business systems. They also support the current Microsoft Copilot AI pilot by helping coordinate user participation, gather feedback, document use cases, track issues, and identify readiness gaps that must be addressed before broader adoption.
They help bridge the gap between users, business needs (including museology functions, scientific research and collections management environments), and technical teams. The incumbent supports user needs discovery, stakeholder engagement, digital adoption, process documentation, product improvement, and practical recommendations for improving Museum’s digital and Information Management environment. They contribute to technology support, product adoption, stakeholder engagement, identification of user requirements, technology evaluation, including in a museum environment and a scientific research setting.

The completion of a post-secondary degree in information management, library and information studies, business administration, public administration, communications, digital transformation, information technology, computer science, project management, or another relevant field or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience relating to information management, digital services, business analysis, digital transformation, or technology-enabled service delivery.
