Job Title: Digital Product Designer-Expert (Interaction Designer)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 Months (With possible extension)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
What will the designer be working on?
- The designer will support the Client 360 program; this is the program that is implementing Salesforce within the bank for advisors in the branch, call centre and business services settings.
- The designer will create screen designs and process flows to support the planning and delivery of specific features within Salesforce that support company advisors’ workflow, and contribute to advisors’ efficiency and effectiveness.
- The designer will also conduct usability testing with advisors using Figma prototypes, to determine if design proposals will benefit advisors, and support the company in achieving its Client 360 program objectives.
Responsibilities:
- The designer will support Client 360 product owners, their agile squads, and the Client 360 program, as follows:
- Consult with Client 360 product owners and their relevant partners on an ongoing basis to discuss new and upcoming features on the Client 360 roadmap, brainstorm and sketch potential design solutions, and plan usability testing on design proposals;
- Work with product owners, tech leads, business analysts and other relevant stakeholders to scope design activities, collect business and functional requirements, establish timelines for delivery of prototypes and ready for dev files, and plan usability testing;
- Create design concepts and prototypes in Figma, using elements from the Salesforce Lightning Design System, review concepts with product owners and collect feedback to iterate;
- Conduct moderated or unmoderated usability testing as needed to validate design hypotheses; and conduct end-to-end test process, including:
- drafting research plans;
- creating test scripts and launching unmoderated research studies in company’s test platform;
- scheduling and conducting moderated usability testing with company advisors;
- synthesizing and analyzing test data;
- creating and presenting test reports, and discussing design recommendations with POs and other relevant stakeholders;
- Deliver design concepts and appropriately documented ready-for-dev files in Figma to Client 360 squads, to support build and release of Client 360 features and enhancements.
Capabilities:
- To be successful in this role, the designer must be capable of and experienced in:
- Analyzing and designing processes for complex organizational workflow.
- Planning and delivering Figma prototypes of medium-high complexity, within constrained timeframes.
- Planning and conducting moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
- Understanding and appropriately managing stakeholder expectations within an organizationally complex environment.
- Planning and delivering presentations, workshops, reviews and other such large-tent meetings; and also in proactively identifying the need for such meetings.
Must have skills:
- Substantial experience designing for complex organizational workflow (e.g., case management or process support)
- Expertise in use of Figma to
- build design concepts using design system elements and components
- create complex prototypes (including use of variants and variables to enhance prototype quality and interactivity)
- deliver high-quality ready-for-dev files
- Planning and conducting usability testing using Figma prototypes.
- Independently scoping and estimating design and usability testing activities to meet competing priorities and deadlines set by squad product owners.
- Knowledge of and some experience in (ideally no less than 6-12 months) designing for Salesforce.
Program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role:
- Figma will be used the majority of the time, we also use Mural and Keynote.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with other designers and cross-functional team members, ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships.
- Experience in facilitating workshops is a nice to have.
