The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business operations and digital eCommerce, with demonstrated critical thinking, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills in a digital environment. Collaboration with the eCommerce Manager and stakeholders is essential to align website content, product presentation, and online merchandising strategies with brand identity, marketing objectives, and overall eCommerce strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and optimizing product detail pages (PDPs), landing pages, and navigation flows to maximize conversion, including enhancing UX with intuitive layouts, clear CTAs, comparison tools, etc.
  • Managing online product presentation, including imagery, descriptions, upsell/cross-sell modules, promotions, and bundles.
  • Aligning product content with business goals such as revenue targets, brand positioning, and AOV growth.
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of direct reports to meet merchandising goals.
  • Collaborating with Creative, Advertising, Marketing, and other teams to execute campaigns and product launches.
  • Managing project briefs, timelines, and cross-departmental inputs for cohesive execution.
  • Using analytics tools to monitor KPIs like conversion rate, attach rate, CTR, ROAS, and bounce rate to guide decisions.
  • Overseeing A/B testing and promotional strategies to improve engagement and conversions.
  • Ensuring product content is current, accurate, and SEO-optimized.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or related field.
  • At least 6 years of proven experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, or online product strategy, with a successful track record.
  • Strong background in category management, product management, and retail operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, revenue analysis, growth strategy, and business planning.
  • Extensive experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Heatmaps, Session recordings.
  • Ability to direct merchandising strategies supporting new product launches, brand repositioning, and seasonal revenue targets, with an understanding of promotional financial impacts and customer-centric decision-making.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with strong communication and project ownership skills.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience in home, mattress, or furniture categories.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian retail market or DTC brands.
  • Experience with CMS and eCommerce platforms like Shopify or Magento.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, GA4.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for PDPs and content hierarchy.
  • Exposure to AR, 3D, or innovative UX merchandising tools.
