JOB SUMMARY

AGLC’s Policy and Public Affairs Division is looking for a skilled and energetic individual to join our team in the Communications & Corporate Marketing Branch as a Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Marketing & Brand, this position is responsible for supporting the production, coordination and deployment of digital marketing efforts that support AGLC’s goals and initiatives. You will work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer to provide social and digital marketing support to the organization as it relates to gaming, liquor, cannabis and corporate brand programs. Key activities for this position include supporting the development, execution and measurement of AGLC’s social media campaigns, organic content and overall strategy. You will also monitor and moderate all of AGLC’s platforms.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • A post-secondary Diploma in marketing, communications/public relations, business administration or a related area and a minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing coordinator role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to deliver creative social media content.
  • Strong technical skills must include proficiency with social media platforms and tools and in-depth knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, (including paid search), targeting, social network advertising and content distribution.
  • Hands-on experience with social media monitoring tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, TweetDeck) and working knowledge of Google Analytics with a strong understanding of SEM/SEO.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • The following would be considered assets:
  • Understanding of graphic design techniques including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Google Looker Studio (Data Studio).
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems and their functionality (e.g., Drupal and Wordpress).
