The Role

A Digital Experience Designer is responsible for creating engaging and intuitive digital experiences for users. They will work across platforms such as websites, apps, and interactive platforms, utilizing their background in UX and UI design to craft seamless digital experiences. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance digital platforms that meet user needs and business objectives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in:

User Research and Analysis:

• Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Analyze user data to inform design decisions.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and user flows.

UX/UI Design:

• Design intuitive, visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
• Ensure consistency and user-centricity across platforms, adhering to brand guidelines.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and present concepts.

Usability Testing:

• Plan and conduct usability tests.
• Gather feedback and iterate on designs.

Design Systems and Standards:

• Maintain design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and ensure quality standards.

Mentoring and Leadership:

• Share expertise and collaborate across teams.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

To be successful, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI design roles.
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, and analytics tools such as Hotjar or Fullstory.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Excellent visual and communication skills.
• A portfolio demonstrating your work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• Experience with Agile and Lean UX methodologies.

Additional Information:

This hybrid role is based out of Vancouver, with flexibility for remote work and meetings outside standard hours.
