Job description

Role purpose

This role is the digital marketing conduit, delivering our content needs between the business and the market, as well as to affiliates (journalists and strategic partners).

We’ll want you to be able to extract complex climate resilience narratives from internal teams, translate them into clear, value-driven, credible content for enterprise audiences, and help convert that clarity into qualified demand. You will also manage and elevate work produced by external writers, ensuring every asset meets Climate X standards for scientific defensibility, tone, and commercial relevance.

Your primary audiences are institutional: asset managers, REITs, and investment banking (plus adjacent risk and portfolio teams).

What you will do
1) Narrative translation for institutional buyers
  • Break down complex climate risk concepts into structured narratives that make sense to investment and risk audiences.
  • Turn technical inputs into decision-ready content: explainers, frameworks, use cases, and point of view pieces.
  • Maintain scientific integrity while improving accessibility and persuasion for professional readers.
2) Lead generation and conversion support
  • Produce and optimise funnel content that supports qualified lead generation: landing pages, gated assets, email sequences, product pages, and campaign copy.
  • Align content to buyer intent and objections for asset managers, REITs, and investment banking teams, improving conversion and reducing friction.
  • Work with the team to build content systems that compound: one core narrative, multiple formats, repeated exposure.
3) Product marketing enablement
  • Partner with Product Marketing to turn product truth into market clarity: messaging, positioning, web copy, and enablement collateral.
  • Support launches and product updates with cohesive content packs that Sales can use immediately.
  • Capture feedback from Sales and customers and feed it back into messaging and content priorities.
4) Manage writers and editorial quality
  • Brief, manage, and edit external writers and contributors, improving structure, flow, and technical accuracy.
  • Set expectations and workflows so writers deliver usable drafts with fewer iterations.
  • Own editorial QA across marketing outputs: proofreading, tone, consistency, terminology, and factual accuracy.
  • Maintain a practical style guide and content standards that others can follow.
5) Distribution and performance
  • Publish and manage content across website, email, and social in collaboration with the team.
  • Apply strong SEO fundamentals: search intent, keyword mapping, internal linking, metadata, and content refreshes.
  • Use analytics and qualitative feedback to improve performance over time.
What we are looking for
Essentials
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong positioning and value add judgement.
  • Proven experience producing B2B content for institutional or professional audiences, ideally in fintech, financial services, enterprise SaaS, or adjacent technical domains.
  • Strong ability to translate complex material into clear narratives, without oversimplifying or relying on hype.
  • Experience managing writers or contributors, including briefing, editing, and quality control.
  • Commercial mindset: you understand how content supports pipeline, product marketing, and buyer decision-making.
  • Comfortable collaborating with subject matter experts and challenging vague claims to sharpen the narrative.
Advantageous
  • Exposure to asset management, real estate investment (REITs), investment banking, or risk functions within financial institutions.
  • ESG, sustainability, climate risk, catastrophe modelling, or related domain familiarity.
  • Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or similar.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capability.
