Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Dietitian to lead nutrition care across our Elmira community. You will plan, direct, and evaluate individualized nutrition care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, delivering assessments, reassessments, and evidence-based interventions to support resident well‑being.

Ideal candidates have a degree in nutrition, licensure, and 2+ years in Long Term Care with knowledge of health regulations, dysphagia and diabetes care.

Qualifications

• Completed Degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition university program.
• Member of College of Dietitians of Ontario/British Columbia.
• 2 years’ or more experience in a Long Term Care.
• Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations.
• Knowledge of appropriate interventions in nutritional care for Long Term Care setting needs.
• Experience with dementia, dysphagia, tube feeding, weight management, wound treatment, diabetes, renal disease, food allergies and intolerances.

Responsibilities

• Develop specialized therapeutic menus, proactively identify and manage nutrition and hydration risks.
• Provide nutritional care including assessments, reassessments and develop appropriate nutrition interventions in consultation with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide meaningful education and counseling to residents and their families — ensuring each resident receives safe, personalized, and compassionate nutritional care that enhances dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
