Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Calian is looking to hire a Dietician to work at CFB Borden. Dietitian function independently and act as a member of CF health care team.

Responsibilities

1. In this role, the Dieticians are responsible for the nutritional care of clients through assessment of nutritional status; prescription, implementation and management of nutrition care plans; and counseling and teaching.
2. Dietitian will also provide expert advice and professional education to other health care professionals who work with clients who have specific nutritional requirements.
3. The Dietitian will receive patient referrals from other health care providers.
4. As part of their work responsibility, Dietitian work includes individual or group appointments and group educational sessions. Furthermore, Clinical Dieticians use teaching resources and displays for dietetic instructional materials.

Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate Degree in Science in Nutrition or Dietetics from a recognized university accredited by Dietitians of Canada;
2. The completion of a Canadian accredited dietetic internship program.
3. Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C;
4. Licence from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice.

Additional Requirements

1. You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
