Job Overview:

The clinical dietitian is responsible for the nutrition care of hospitalized patients, including nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education.

Qualifications:

Required:

• RD or RD eligible status.
• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and department-specific orientation.

Preferred:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem
• Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm
• Position requires weekday availability and weekend coverage.

Essential Functions:

• Nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education.
• Assess patient nutritional status and needs, develop and implement patient nutritional care plans in accordance with physician prescriptions and current nutritional practices, and evaluate patient and family members on prescribed diet and nutritional information.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide appropriate nutrition care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
• Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team through verbal and written means to document medical nutrition therapy.
