Job summary

Actionmarguerite in Winnipeg, MB invites applications for a Dietetic Aide. The role supports food services through preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitation, and general maintenance of kitchens and dining areas.

The position is 0.57 FTE, part-time term through March 31, 2028 with potential extension. Candidates should have a Dietetic Aide Certificate or be willing to enroll, plus healthcare food service experience and ability to lift and work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Dietetic Aide Certificate or willing to take the course.
• Experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals an asset.
• Experience with the operation and cleaning of food preparation equipment and scales; and
• Experience with the operations of cash register for cafeteria functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, distribute, store, clean and sanitize food in Food Services.

Job description

The Dietetic Aide is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance of all areas pertaining to Food Services, and performs other related functions. The Dietetic Aide demonstrates a commitment to the vision, mission and values of Actionmarguerite.

Starting Date: October 4, 2026
Shift and Hours of Work: 0.57 FTE-part-time-term-currently 06:45-14:30/07:00-15:15/10:15-18:30
Pay Scale: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
Specifications: Term ending March 31, 2028 with 2 weeks’ notice and possible extension.Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements.

• Dietetic Aide Certificate or willing to take the course;
• Experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting;
• Experience with cleaning chemicals an asset;

All staff are hired for the facility.Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
