Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Dietary Aide in Creemore, Ontario. You will support long-term care residents with meals, assist with dietary services, and help create a home-like, dignified living environment.

As part of the team, you’ll follow resident diets and maintain safe, clean dining areas, contributing to the residents’ comfort and daily happiness in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Safe Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to obtain it.
• Provide compassionate support helping seniors live their lives to the fullest.
• Be detail-oriented with strong customer service skills for residents and staff.
• Experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality is preferred.
• A Food Service Worker Certificate is a plus but not required.
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain required checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and assist with dining in the care setting.
• Follow each resident's diet and food preferences.
• Maintain clean, sanitized dining areas and kitchen spaces.
• Assist with menu orders and meal service logistics.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful dining experience for residents.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dietary Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

• Food Preparation & Food Handling
• Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals
• Follow residents' diets and food preferences
• Take the menu orders from the residents
• Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
• Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques

Who You Are

• Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain
• You are committed to providing compassionate support that provides seniors to live their lives to the fullest
• You are detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff
• You may bring experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality
• While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it’s not a requirement
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
