Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide, Nutrition Services to support patient meals and service. You will assist in meal prep, plating, serving, and tray collection, while maintaining food safety and cleanliness.

The role requires an OSSD or GED, a Food Service Worker Certificate (or in progress within 12 months), and Food Handlers training. Union CUPE; on-site hours vary including days, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), GED, or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Certificate Program or currently completing it within 12 months of hire.
• Food Handlers Training and Certification Course required.
• Previous experience in the Food Service industry required.
• Culinary management diploma would be an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of safe food handling techniques required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, plating, and serving of meals to patients.
• Collect trays post-meal and ensure timely service to patients.
• Complete ware washing and cleaning of equipment per standards.
