Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Dietary Aide to support Nutrition Services. You will assist in meal preparation, assembly, and service, while following therapeutic menus and safety standards.

The role emphasizes portion control, sanitation, and coordination with supervisors and dietitians. The position requires Grade 10, a valid Food Handler Level 1 certificate (or willingness to obtain within six months), and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 (Manitoba Standards) required.
• Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or willing to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and Internet applications.

Responsabilités

• Assists in training and orientation of Nutrition Services staff and students.
• Familiarity with all diets and reference materials used in Nutrition Services.
• Adheres to menus and therapeutic guidelines for texture-modified diets.
• Makes changes to client menus as directed with supervision.
• Assists with food preparation (toast, cereal, nourishments, salads, cold food prep, sandwiches, desserts, beverages).
• Assembles/serves meals according to portion standards and serving guidelines.
• Delivers carts/trays, collects soiled items, and maintains dining areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes dining and related areas; maintains sanitation per schedules.
• Cleans and checks equipment; ensures labeling and storage of leftovers.
• Monitors supplies, orders, and inventories as directed.
• Maintains par stock and assists with inventory procedures.
• Participates in quality control audits.
• Performs sundry duties as assigned.
