Location: Parkwood Institute Main - London, ON

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $27.66 - $27.86 /hour

About the Role

We are an integrated team providing food and nutrition services to patients and residents across all sites of St. Joseph's Health Care London. Our mission is to deliver nutritional care that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. We focus on local purchasing, seasonal on-site vegetable growing, composting, and reducing food waste. Our departments operate on varying shifts from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Essential Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Safe Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Knowledge of institutional food service, therapeutic diets, and safe food handling
  • Understanding of Safety Culture in a Healthcare setting per OHSA
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Physical ability to bend, stand, walk, and lift up to 28 kg
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment, independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French
  • Previous experience in food service

As part of St. Joseph's Health Care London, in partnership with Western University and Fanshawe College, employees are expected to engage in role-related teaching and research activities.
