Job summary

AgeCare is hiring a Dietary Aide to support meal service in the Residence/Home. You will serve meals, assist with setup, tray delivery, and cleanup, while maintaining a clean dining area and assisting with special catering events.

The role requires a Food Handler's Certificate, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods. Vulnerable Sector Check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Experience in food service with seniors preferred.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months) or willingness to obtain one.
• Physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for most of shift.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service (beverages, salads, desserts).
• Set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining area; maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and theme occasions.
• Assist with orientation and training of new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
