Job summary

AgeCare West Williams in Kitchener, ON is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support residents with meals, tray delivery, and dining-room service. You will assist with setup, service, and cleanup, ensuring meals are served in a warm, welcoming environment.

The position requires a valid Food Handler certificate, ability to lift heavy items, and a willingness to work with seniors. Prior food-service experience is preferred; bilingual skills and a Vulnerable Sector Check are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference for experience in food service and seniors' care.
• Must have or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift/heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Second language ability is an asset.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring they receive appealing meals in a welcoming atmosphere. As a Dietary Aide at AgeCare, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. You will assist with the setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup of all meal services.
