Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Greater Sudbury is seeking a Dietary Aide to create a welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. You will serve meals with warmth, ensure safety, and support a clean, organized dining environment.

You’ll bring a secondary school education or equivalent, a Food Handler Certification, and prior experience in server or customer service roles. This role requires flexibility and strong teamwork, with work including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver tableside food and beverage orders promptly and professionally.

• Maintain a clean, organized area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Wash, dry, and store dishes and equipment following health and safety rules.

Your friendly service, organization, and commitment to quality will help make every mealtime special.

What You’ll Do

• Take and deliver tableside food and beverage orders promptly and professionally
• Provide attentive service that reflects residents’ preferences and personal tastes
• Set up the dining room and clear tables following Chartwell standards
• Maintain clean and organized area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Wash, dry, and store dishes, and equipment while following all health & safety rules

What You’ll Bring

• Secondary School education or equivalent
• Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified)
• Experience as server or in customer service role
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
