The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that currently owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. We take pride in providing a safe, caring, and comfortable home environment that caters to the complex needs of our senior residents and families. Locally, in Calgary, BSF also operates Alberta’s largest second-stage shelter providing safe shelter and comprehensive support services to women and children leaving abuse and violence.

We are currently seeking a Dietary Aide who will play a key role in supporting the nutritional and dining needs of our residents. In this role, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming mealtime experience while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Prepare, assemble and serve food for regular and modified diets.
Support dining room service: setup, meal delivery, clearing, and sanitization.
Assist with kitchen cleanliness: wash dishes, mop floors, dispose of waste.
Follow Alberta Health Services and Accommodation Standards.
Comply with infection prevention and safety procedures (including WHMIS).
Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture.
Support emergency preparedness and respond calmly in crisis situations.
As part of our team, you’ll help uphold a culture of safety and ethical care:
Recognize and report safety concerns.
Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness of work areas.
Practice safe food handling and lifting techniques.
Support residents’ dignity, confidentiality, and individual needs.
