Key Responsibilities for a Technician:

1. Demonstrate proficiency in repairing and diagnosing medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
2. Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
3. Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
4. Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders.
5. Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
6. Complete technical reports from different manufacturers accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Be available to work rotational shifts covering evenings and Saturdays, including after-hours emergency service calls.
8. Work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional, positive, and cooperative attitude.
9. Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Completion of a college certification for Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician - MINIMUM BLOCK 3 COMPLETION.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs or according to provincial workplace health & safety standards.
• Willingness and ability to pursue further training and licensing.
• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal reference check.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate Windows-based software.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a service environment.
