Role Summary

Sr. Technician Teleport Facility Infrastructure is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning. They must be ready to provide support and respond to alarms in a timely manner in order to meet the teleport standard SLA and support On-Call service outside of normal business hours.

Location: Raisting/ Onsite

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Plan and coordinate installations and refurbishments, perform preventive and corrective maintenance for the teleport facility systems, including but not limited to the following:
1. UPS and Battery systems
2. HVAC systems
3. Low and medium-voltage infrastructure
4. Emergency Diesel Generators and fuel tanks infrastructure
5. Cranes and lifting systems
6. Fire alarms systems and hydrants
7. Ground and lightning protection systems
8. Facility monitoring systems
9. Gate and electronic access systems
10. Heating systems
11. Hydraulic systems
12. Lighting infrastructure
13. Water management systems
2. Keep a company mobile phone to be on-call to respond to alerts, alarms and emergencies;
3. Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations;
4. Carry out daily inspections on critical infrastructure, including data collection and evaluation;
5. Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;
6. Work with external contractors on facility maintenance activities;
7. Overall responsible for Housekeeping of technical rooms.

Required Qualifications

1. Good solid experience within facilities management and building operations.
2. At least 3 years experience performing facility maintenance activities in teleports or datacenter facilities.
3. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Good analytical/critical thinking.
7. Local official certifications and permissions in Germany to operate and maintain low and medium-voltage infrastructure and HVAC systems.

Skills/Requirements

1. Fluent written and spoken German language is a pre-requisite.
2. Proficient in English.
3. Highly motivated with the ability to operate without direct supervision.
4. Customer oriented (internal and external customers).
5. Flexible to adapt to a fast-changing environment and priorities, self-organized, problem-solving skills, technical background, cross-cultural communications skills.
