Job summary

Blue Max Drilling Inc. in British Columbia is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to service and repair drilling equipment at our on-site facilities. The role involves diagnosing faults, maintaining engines and hydraulic systems, and performing required welding tasks to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specs.

You will keep detailed maintenance reports, order parts, and assist with the setup and transport of drilling rigs. A valid Class 1/A license and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of diesel repair or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
Welding experience is beneficial and may be required on site.
On-site work at a drilling location in British Columbia.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Order parts and maintain inventory
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
Keep maintenance reports and documentation
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
Perform repair work on heavy trucks
Verify and repair emission control systems
Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions and other mechanical equipment
Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
