United Rentals in Charlottetown, Canada, is hiring a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech II - CES) to maintain and repair customer-owned equipment safely and professionally.

You'll perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel work, document service orders, and travel to customer sites when required, while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Knowledge of construction equipment and basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of customer equipment and tools
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
