Pro Spec Diesel in Red Deer, AB is hiring an experienced Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy‑duty diesel engines. You’ll use state‑of‑the‑art tools to interpret fault codes and apply OEM procedures while mentoring apprentices.

Qualifications

• Heavy‑duty diesel engine experience with electronic diagnostics and rebuilds.
• Experience on CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and PACCAR platforms.
• Certification on two or more engine platforms preferred.
• CVIP and valid driver’s license preferred; driving record acceptable.
• Familiarity with OEM diagnostics, wiring, and shop software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine faults accurately using OEM info and test tools.
• Perform complete repairs and in‑frame/out‑of‑frame rebuilds.
• Document repair work clearly and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper contamination control.
• Communicate progress and needs to Foreman or Service Manager.
