Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Edmonton is seeking an Apprentice Technician to learn in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. You will complete specified classes and on-the-job hours, while gaining knowledge of safety protocols for electricity and energy systems in industrial equipment.

You will perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on engine products, with records kept up-to-date and with ongoing professional development and tool upkeep. This is an on-site, full-time shop role.

Qualifications

  • Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.
  • Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
  • Understands engine repair processes and basic components.
  • Familiar with diesel engines and after-treatment basics.

Responsibilities

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
  • Perform maintenance/repairs using diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  • Pursue ongoing development and certifications on Cummins products.
  • Maintain own tools.
