Job summary

Derrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT in Edmonton, now part of Capital Automotive Group, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician with a passion for diesel engines to join our service team.

Relocation or signing bonus may be available for the right candidate. Red Seal Journeyman certification is preferred; Cummins and EcoDiesel experience are a plus. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas vehicles and collaborate with service advisors.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, especially in diesel engines.
• Must be safety-conscious and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas vehicles per manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine maintenance, complex diagnostics, safety inspections, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with service advisors to maintain shop efficiency and workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, complex diagnostics, safety inspections, and quality checks.
• Focus on fixing vehicles right the first time to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with the service advisor team to keep shop efficiency high and jobs moving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Technician certification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills, with a specific interest or experience in diesel engines (Cummins experience is an asset).
• Chrysler / Stellantis training is an asset, but it is not required, we are glad to invest in your training if you have the right drive.
• Valid driver’s license.
• A dependable, safety conscious attitude and a team first mindset.
