Job summary

DMC Mining Services in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking Diamond Driller Helpers to support safe, efficient drilling operations on-site. The role requires flexibility to travel between project locations and to work on a rotating day/night schedule as needed.

You will assist the Driller, perform pre-start checks, help with core handling and packaging, and maintain a clean, organized work area. This contract position includes competitive hourly pay between CAD 24 and CAD 30 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of underground experience in a similar role.
• 770150 Diamond Drilling Common Core.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Sound knowledge of operation of machinery.
• Proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work rotation, day and night shifts as required.
• Able and willing to travel to project locations.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience as a Diamond Drill Helper or Diamond Driller is an asset.
• Long Hole experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, care, and proper handling and packaging of core product.
• Follow rules related to safety standards and practices before, during and after work.
• Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
• Help the Driller in the daily operation of drilling rig.
• Practice good housekeeping (maintaining a clean work area, storage of materials and spare parts).
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Summary

DMC is currently looking for Diamond Driller Helpers to join our team on a contract basis, based in Sudbury, Ontario. Reporting to the Supervisor (Drilling), the Diamond Driller Helper will be responsible for supporting the Driller in the safe and efficient operation of diamond drilling activities. This role requires flexibility to travel to other project locations, as required.

• We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
• Hourly Range is expected to be between: $24 to $30 CAD + hourly incentive bonus.
