Job summary

DMC Mining Services is seeking a Raise Bore Helper for a contract-based position in Sudbury, Ontario. You will support the Raise Bore team under the Raise Bore Supervisor to safely and efficiently operate Raise Bore activities on site.

The role requires flexibility to travel to other project locations as needed, and candidates should have underground experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work day or night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years of underground experience in a similar role.
• Ontario MTCU Underground Hardrock Common Core modules or Diamond Drill Common Core.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Sound knowledge of operation of machinery.
• Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work rotation, day, and night shifts.
• Able and willing to travel as required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience as a Diamond Drill Helper or Diamond Driller is an asset.
• Long Hole experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and practices before, during, and after work.
• Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
• Assist operators and team in the operation of Raise Bore activities.
• Practice good housekeeping in work area and storage of materials and spare parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

DMC is currently looking for Raise Bore Helpers to join our team on a contract basis, based in Sudbury, Ontario. Additional Information

• We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
• Hourly Range is expected to be between: $20 to $22 CAD + hourly incentive bonus.
