William Osler Health System in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for our hemodialysis unit. The role focuses on delivering safe, patient‑centred nursing care to individuals with less complex needs and stable outcomes.

You will collaborate with an inter‑professional team, follow nephrology practice standards, complete required nephrology modules, and provide essential patient and family education to support continuity of care after discharge.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of hemodialysis experience within the last five years.
• Nephrology certificate required or enrolled and will complete within 18 months of hire.
• Completion of vascular access modules from the Ontario Renal Network required.
• Must pass nephrology quiz by achieving 80% to move onto interview.
• Knowledge of nephrology nursing standards and practice recommendations and CA nephrology nurses guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Safe nursing practice across the full nursing process in hemodialysis.
• Provide patient-centered care to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Deliver compassionate care within a diverse cultural environment.
• Adhere to infection control and prevention measures.
• Respond to emergencies by recognizing changes and consulting when needed.
• Provide patient and family teaching including discharge instructions for continuity of care.
