Sledgehammer Games is seeking a Dialogue Designer for an upcoming AAA project in Toronto. You will edit, design, and process dialogue assets, working with the Dialogue and Narrative Teams to ensure top-quality delivery using proprietary tools.

The role emphasizes both interactive and linear dialogue design, collaboration across departments, and adherence to standardized dialogue workflows. Relevant experience with major engines and audio tools is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in game audio development.
  • Shipped one major title.
  • Understanding of PS5, XBOX Series X, and PC audio functionality.
  • Experience with major digital audio workstations.
  • Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Independent contributor with at least 5+ years experience or combination with college degree.
  • College degree preferred.

Your Mission

Sledgehammer Games is looking for a Dialogue Designer to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. Candidates shouldbe versed in dialog editing and processing techniquesand have a general knowledge of dialog pipelines. You will report to our Dialogue Director and help ensure delivery of the highest quality dialog with the use of internally developed proprietary tools.

  • Edit, design and process dialogue assets for all aspects of our game.
  • Collaborate with the Dialogue and Narrative Teams, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.
  • Interactive and linear dialogue design.
  • Dialogue asset implementation using proprietary tools.

Player Profile
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of game dialogue.
  • Some knowledge of both linear and interactive dialogue systems.
  • Minimum three years of experience in game audio development.
  • Shipped one major title.
  • Understanding ofPS5, XBOXSeries X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Experience with at least one major digital audioworkstations.
  • Experience with middleware programs such asWwiseandFmod.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • College degree preferred.

The standard base pay range for this role is $103,720.00 - $137,080.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in Ontario, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
