Job summary

Sledgehammer Games is seeking a Senior Content Rigger (Contract) to rig and skin complex assets, build tools, and support the animation pipeline. You will collaborate with teams across locations in Canada, the U.S., the U.K.

and Australia to maintain high quality and delivery timelines. The role emphasizes building robust workflows, optimizing physics and dynamics in-game, and leading external rigging efforts while ensuring a strong user experience for content authors.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Certificate in Computer Science, Graphic Art or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the games industry with 5+ years of experience on console game development.
  • Developing pipeline and workflow.
  • Solid knowledge of Maya.
  • Knowledge of at least one major commercial game engine (e.g. Unreal, Unity).
  • Experience working with external developers.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in a small, dynamic team.

Please note: This is a Temporary Fixed-Term Contract, up to one (1) year. This opportunity can be either a Hybrid position based in our Toronto Studio or Remote in Canada. Existing work authorization is required.

Your Mission

You will be rigging and skinning complex character, vehicle, and prop assets as well as building tooling to support the animation team and animation pipeline. You will help push the runtime quality of hair, dynamics and physics on skinned assets using in-game. Help oversee external rigging team, coordinate with production on timelines and manage feedback to retain the high quality bar.

Player Profile

The standard base pay range for this role is $97,606.00 - $128,974.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in Ontario, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
