Job summary

Health Match BC is assisting with the recruitment of a General Radiologist to join the team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake. The role offers comprehensive medical imaging services including CT, ultrasound and mammography, with basic interventional radiology support.

As CMH undergoes redevelopment, the hospital will expand its ED, inpatient beds, and specialty services. Attractive rural incentives, relocation funding, and full-time RSA options are available for eligible candidates.

Role and Facility Information

We have an excellent opportunity for a General Radiologist to join the team Williams Lake at Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH).

We offer an extensive variety of sophisticated medical imaging services to enhance patient care and promote the well-being of the community. We have one CT, along with ultrasound imaging. With basic interventional radiology services, a dedicated diagnostic mammography. Embrace the latest technology and resources that support your expertise in delivering high-quality imaging services.

The CMH redevelopment project is well underway. By the end of 2026, we'll have an expanded emergency department with 23 treatment spaces, a medical-surgical inpatient unit with 36 beds, and a mental health unit featuring 8 single-occupancy rooms. As the project moves toward completion in 2029, enhancements across the hospital will include an upgraded maternity and women's health unit, expanded oncology and ambulatory care services, and a new academic space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine.

Terms

Compensation Type Fee-for-Service Estimated Remuneration FFS payment model, total earnings amongst the highest in comparison with other BC Radiology groups.

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.32% Retention Flat Fee $19,092 Relocation Funding Available $For a full-time position, we offer up to $9,000 in assistance for moves within BC, up to $12,000 for moves from elsewhere in Canada, and up to $15,000 for moves from outside Canada. Recruitment Incentive $$15,000 Other Benefits/Incentives The above numbers are based on a full-time position and may be prorated for physicians working less than full time. *Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
