Job summary

Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering (primary) & Oshawa is seeking a Registered Technologist to perform radiographs and CT examinations, and support Radiologists in a fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging Department. The role requires flexibility across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts with 8-hour schedules.

Applicants must hold a Medical Radiation Sciences credential, a CMRITO license, and demonstrate strong imaging skills, patient care, and the ability to adapt to emergency situations

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program.
• Must have CMRITO license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiographic, fluoroscopic examinations and CT techniques.
• Proven ability to use varied X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy and ancillary equipment to provide high quality diagnostic images.
• Proven effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work all shifts on short notice and be on site within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Produce radiographs and CT images with accountability to storing images and recording them as required.
• Assist the Radiologist in procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain technical competence per CMRTIO guidelines and CAMRT/OAMRS requirements; rotate into other radiographic modalities; participate in training of students and technologists.
